26-28 April
April 26th, 2024
Despite the weather playing tricks after a week of hot and sunny weather for Design Week, Milan is ready to come alive during these festive days. For those who didn't take advantage of the long weekend to go somewhere sunnier, nss is ready to offer its faithful advice for a weekend in the city.
Where to Eat - CreDa
The name CreDa, the new "trattoria popolare" in via Orti, comes from the meeting of Crescenzo and Dario, the young chefs who decided to venture into a new reality between Crocetta and Porta Romana. Original services and porcelain from the '50s and '60s offer an eggplant Parmigiana made with three different cheeses, spaghettone with garlic, oil, chili, and crusco peppers, marinated cod, and other "popular" delights contrasting with high-class tableware.
Via Orti, 12
What to Discover - Io sono un drago
A comprehensive retrospective - produced with Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain - on the work of architect, designer, and artist Alessandro Mendini. With over four hundred works, the exhibition is divided into different thematic sections and brings together works of various formats, materials, and subjects, from public and private collections. The title Io sono un drago refers to one of Mendini's most emblematic self-portraits, emphasizing the complexity of his figure within the international scene of design, architecture, and art.

Where to Relax - Tripstillery
Near Piazza Gae Aulenti, Tripstillery is a cocktail bar with a micro distillery inside, complete with an alembic for distilling personalized gin. A completely new concept for mixology in Milan, in a venue whose large windows and wooden interiors recall the welcoming atmospheres of Brooklyn bars.

Where to Have Fun - Peekaboo
This Friday at Santeria Toscana, the disciple of Skrillex arrives in Italy for the first time to push his metallic wobbles and spikes, ready to light up the dance floor.

Where to Shop - Marcato Antiquario
Milan's most important appointment for vintage lovers and secondhand enthusiasts returns this Sunday to Naviglio Grande. We advise bringing an umbrella since the weather is the only obstacle standing between you and the perfect vintage find.
