5 things to do in Milan this weekend From 17 to 19 November

This weekend, the frenetic rhythms of Milan will be dampened by the Serie A break: neither Milan nor Inter will play home matches. Therefore, even those accustomed to spending their weekends in the stadium fever or simply in front of the TV screen will have to seek entertainment elsewhere. As per usual, nss's weekly column with the best recommendations for your Milanese free time will help you choose the best activity.

Here are 5 things to do in Milan this weekend, from 17th to 19th November.

Where to eat in Milan - Griglia di Varrone

If this weekend you want to distance yourself from the heat of Milan's nightlife, Griglia di Varrone is the place for you. The restaurant, known for the immense quality of its meat products, will be hosting chef Timon Michiels directly from the Belgian restaurant Carcasse (1 Michelin Star). Together with Massimo Minutelli, the soul, chef, and founder of Griglia di Varrone, they will create a unique meat excellence experience.

Where to relax in Milan - Bar Nico

Bar Nico is a brand-new Milanese opening inspired by a very cute dog. Already chosen by several fashion insiders as a place-to-be to chat with colleagues and friends, the space is set by candlelight, offering a romantic setting to enjoy a good glass of wine along with a tasty selection of appetisers. The only thing to note is that you might be tempted to steal the glasses featuring the silhouette of the elegant Nico - they are adorable but not a souvenir.

What to visit in Milan - The Ruling

The Ruling, Sung Tieu's first solo exhibition in Italy, will take place at Ordet, an exhibition space founded by Edoardo Bonaspetti and Stefano Cernuschi. The Vietnamese artist living in Berlin specialises in historical and political research, a theme reflected in installations featuring documentary and fictional elements. The Ruling derives from a historical event in 1897 concerning the French colonial rule in Indochina and delves into the artist's roots. The exhibition can be visited from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Where to have fun in Milan - Fabrique

Eiffel 65, the famous Italian eurodance group, is coming to Milan: tickets are still available on TicketOne. Best known for the worldwide hit Blue (Da Bee Dee), they are a group that perfectly embodies the nostalgia of the late '90s and early 2000s Italian pop dance music.
