Miuccia Prada and Marra have been nominated for the Ambrogino d'Oro 2023

Every year, on 7 December, the City of Milan awards the Ambrogino d'Oro to the key personalities who have brought prestige to the city over the past twelve months. To take stage the day of the patron saint, the prize receives nominations from everywhere, from political parties to universities. This 2023 the nominations reach two hundred, and include for the first time rapper Marracash and Miuccia Prada, designer and entrepreneur of the Prada Group. The Ambrogino d'Oro is the most coveted award of the City of Milan, but Prada's name is the only one among the candidates from the fashion system.

The award, dedicated to public figures and organisations who have distinguished themselves for their commitment to the city of Milan, will be presented subject to approval by the city council and a commission to be convened in mid-November. Both Marracash and Miuccia Prada are competing for the victory: the former thanks to his latest successful project Marrageddon, the rap festival that brought together the most important names on the Italian music scene on the same stage, the latter for the continuous successes achieved by her brands, from record sales to initiatives for art and Lombardy's craftsmanship, celebrating the strong bond between the Prada Group and the city of Milan.
