5 things to do in Milan this weekend
From 14 to 16 July
July 14th, 2023
Here we are again on a Milan weekend, away from the air-conditioned offices, but free to dive into the most exciting and innovative summer exhibitions. As every Friday, here are our top tips for a weekend in Milan.
Where To Eat - Snowberg
In Chinatown, the ice cream is called bingsu - meaning 'crushed ice' - and in Milan you can taste it at the Snowberg bakery. Consisting of ice, condensed milk, azuki beans, fruit and ice cream, this rich dish is of Korean origin and is a curious and delicious alternative to the classic cone. Try it to believe.
Via Niccolini,20
Where To Chill - Tela Milano
Music, art, and above all drinks, Tela Milano is the place to be if you like to be carried away by the delicate notes of jazz music and a good cocktail. This Saturday the venue will host the last concert of the season, an evening of live music that has the flavour of an era far removed from our own.
Via Teodosio, 81
What To Discover - Omar Galliani Diacronica, Il Tempo Sospeso
The exhibition Omar Galliani Diacronica - Il Tempo Sospeso, works dedicated to art in the digital age, has just opened at the Palazzo Reale. In this evocative exhibition space, Galliani's work guides us through a journey that explores themes related to human life and the changes that have transformed it. With free admission, this exhibition is a unique opportunity to take a close look at the most recent and unpublished works by one of the great masters of drawing.
Piazza del Duomo, 12
Where To Club - Circolo Magnolia
This week the Magnolia was, like every summer, full of special events and concerts. Once again this weekend, the Club's spaces will be filled with intoxicating music, with Dj Boring's set on Friday, Akeem's evening on Saturday, powered by Rocket Club, and to end on a high note, La Domenica Elettronica.
Via Circonvallazione Idroscalo, 41
Where To Shop - Mercatino di Brera
If you can resist the heat, this Sunday the streets of Brera will be full of second-hand objects looking for a new home. Starting at 9 a.m., the Brera Market will come alive in style, with stalls and hidden treasures.
