Vanadio23 presents Laud end Praud at Milan's Pride
The brand for sexual freedom supports the LGBTQ+ community
July 1st, 2023
Last weekend Milan pride week closed with a bang, as the Milanese brand Vanadio23 founded by Andrea Semeghini celebrated with a lineup of events in celebration of the local LGBQTQ+ community. Aimed at changing the conversation around cultural norms in relation to orientation and gender identity, the event was created to honor, respect and raise awareness around the many diverse identities that exist. The series of events started with the thought provoking talk Identity and Stories of Gender, with Antonia Monopoli of the Sportello Trans Ala Milano Onlus, Lorenzo Mattiello of Mica Macho, Kilian Lenox, moderator, the activist Vitto Pascale; which was followed by the debut of a collection titled PRAUD , created by Vanadio23 in collaboration with designers Simon Cracker, Lessico Familiare , Ritarita , Fantabody, Pijama and Sirainer.
Each designer chose a print inspired by the poem Metamorfosi by Ovidio and created garments that illustrate sexuality in all forms. The evening then closed with a party , DJset by PlastikDoll (PWC Milan) . A part of the proceeds from the sale of the PRAUD* collections and from the sponsors of the event were donated to Pronto Help Line, an ARCIGAY organization that for years has been offering free services and counseling to all LGBTQ+ people and those close to them.
