Prada has opened a Caffè in London
The iconic Prada green has landed at Harrods
March 31st, 2023
From today, the colours and interior design of Prada's imagery will be the enchanting stars of Knightsbridge, among the luxurious rooms of England's most famous department store, Harrods. Inspired by the Milanese boutique in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the historic shop open since 1913, Prada Caffè offers an immersive experience to its customers through the inimitable stylistic codes that have always made Prada a symbol of Italian sophistication.
From the black and white chequered floors to the floral bas-reliefs, every detail of the Café is a unique reference to the maison's first store. Even the ceilings recall the brand's iconography, dyed in the iconic Prada green that also covers sofas and armchairs in velvet, and the serving materials reflect the aesthetic in elegance, from the soft blue Japanese porcelain decorated with contrasting black threads, to the blown crystal glasses bearing the triangle pattern of the "Triangle" series. Open until January 2024, soon the Café's outdoor area will also be inaugurating a kiosk, designed for the summer season as a great place to cool down with an ice cream. It will be possible to enjoy the Prada menu throughout the day, as, in keeping with Italian tradition, the Café will not only be home to countless traditional Italian dishes, but also to a pastry and wine selection full of local delicacies.
