5 things to do in Milan this weekend From 14th to 16th October

Autumn has finally arrived: a moment in which the sky is grayer than usual, yet the cold isn’t as harsh and the climate permits wearing heavier sweaters and enjoying the city after a long week. There’s definitely some stuff to do - so before winter comes around the corner and makes you shiver with its strong winds, it’d be nice to cherish all the activities that come along with what Fall has to offer. Don’t fall for the temptation to lock yourself in and go out!

To Eat – Horto Restaurant

Led by chef Norbert Niederkofler from Alto-Adige, Horto is an unusual restaurant for Milan: located atop of The Medelan in Piazza Cordusio, it boasts a spectacular view of the city. Horto follows the directives of an ethical and responsible cuisine along with representing the slow life in the city during Autumn. In short, it is a very chic spot, especially for those who go for a terrace lunch.

To Chill – Stadera “Cura” Project

Fantastudio e Worldrise Onlus, together with the Woolrich Outdoor Foundation, are collaborating to create “Cura”, a social project that aims to spread the effort for sustainability through a series of sensible activities in the historical area of Stadera. A central moment of the project will be the creation of a mural of 100 mq on the hollow wall of the palace in Via G. Savoia 2, made by using Airlite natural photocatalytic smog-absorbing paint from the artists' collective. For the occasion of completing the mural, on Saturday the 15th at 4 p.m, the residents of the Stadera area and whoever else who wants will unite to conduct a street-cleaning activity, which will see participants rewarded with a refreshment.

To Discover – Max Ernst @ Palazzo Reale

The main works of the famed painter, sculptor, poet, and german art theorist Max Ernst will be united for the first Italian retrospective exhibit dedicated to the artist. There will be upwards of 400 works, including paintings, sculptures, designs, collages, photography, jewels, and illustrated books, which, along with exclusive documents, which will all be uncovered through an exhibit that aims to illustrate the life of the artist and his art.

To Club – Arca 

In a place like Milan, where new clubs perish at the same speed as the avocado you left in your fridge, the newest club making noise is Arca, in the Romolo area. Inside of the building of Gruppo CAP, it is attracting the best of the best of Milan’s partygoers. One of the newest brands now under the umbrella of the old soul that is LVMH, Officine Universelle Buly 1803 is actually a brand of many stories, given it was rebirthed by Victoire de Taillac along with her husband Ramdane Touhami 7 years ago .The brand, originally founded in 1803, was even featured in one of Balzac’s novels two centuries ago. Today, the brand maintains this antiquated feel, almost like a time capsule, and the feeling of entering in the new boutique can be equated only to the joy of using their products.
