5 things to do in Milan this weekend 1 to 3 July

If you are not on a boat in Costa Smeralda right now, I feel sorry for you, but know that you are not alone. There are few things as hellish as Milan in 40 degrees in the shade, but the nss team is ready to take up the challenge to brighten up your weekend, perhaps wisely armed with sunscreen, a cap and a magnesium supplement.

To Eat - Vasiliki Kouzina

There's nothing better than a Tzatziki to beat the summer heat. Vasiliki, originally from the Peloponnese, offers typical Greek dishes in an elegant and cosy ambience with soft lighting and background Hellenic music. Appetisers such as Pita, Skordalia and Taramosalata, but also octopus with honey, squid and mussel couscous, pork cheeks and to finish a pleasant traditional liqueur called Mastika.

Via Clusone, 6

To Discover - David LaChapelle, I Believe in Miracles

The major solo exhibition David LaChapelle, I Believe in Miracles offers an exhibition that focuses on a critical look at the human soul investigated in its folds made of sorrows, loneliness, joys, passions and ideals. 90 works - including large formats, site-specific shots, new productions and a video installation - unfold in a fluid and highly suggestive narrative, through the artist's highly personal vision of a 'gestural' photography, which is a tear on the present and an 'alert' for the future to come.

Via Tortona, 56

To Chill - Play hard design club

A Briscola tournament but also a party with prizes provided by Domestika_it. The game is played in teams with Neapolitan cards and places are limited: on 1 July from 7pm at Circolobovisa the evening promises to be an enticing one, whether you decide to play or just cheerlead the competing teams.

Via Luigi Mercantini, 11

To Shop - Vinoir

This was the first Milanese wine shop to launch the trend of natural wines, offering small labels from artisanal producers who limit the use of sulphur dioxide, respect grape varieties by using indigenous yeasts and refuse the use of additives or corrective substances. An important reference point for lovers of good wine, as well as a rustic but pleasant ambience and a renewed proposal of accompanying dishes on the menu.

Ripa di Porta Ticinese, 93b

To Club - Circolo Magnolia

Twist and Shout! A 50's and 60's night, returns after a two-year absence with the only Italian date on 1 July at 22.00, at Circolo Magnolia. A hot evening of rock'n'roll and twist.

Via Circonvallazione Idroscalo, 41
