Men by Alessandro Michele
December 22nd, 2016
Gucci goes always more dandy. Alessandro Michele presents a SS17 Men collection certainly hyperbolic.
Such as the female version, the designer creates another anthem to eccentricity, exacerbating the opulence and use of prints.
In this riot of fantasies reign sovereign bestiary loved by Michele, with embroidery tigers, snakes, dragons and koi carp, but also UFO and flowers. The collection is color saturated, full of details, inlays, inspirations.
Are introduced tracksuit and tartan, pants silhouette is shorter to leave socks space, wool cardigan goes above tailored jacket and formal evening suits with the sneakers, the duffel coat is red, the coats are iper decorated, the denim flower power, the jackets are adorned with traditional Japanese motifs, the hat is made of straw.
The garments are stratified. Kinds, colors and designs are mixed with each other, so Michele's work becomes a feast for the eyes.
The collection will arrive in Gucci stores in April, in the meantime enjoy the lookbook photographed by Derek Ridgers.
