Givenchy models go on Mars for SS17 campaign.

In the video made by the duo of photographers Mert&Marcus and styled by Carine Roitfeld the Victorian portraits Irina Shayk, Mariacarla Boscono and Lea T is alternated with frames of a group of young models, including Vittoria Ceretti and Faretta Radick, wandering in an otherworldly landscape of sand and rock, a red planet recreated in a desert to three and a half hours outside of Los Angeles.

“I wanted the girls to look like they were having a rave party on Mars, on another planet” said Tisci to WWD and continued emphasizing the freedom and serenity transmitted by this video project: “The pictures look very serene, very real”.

Real, of course, but also deeply linked to nature, so as to evoke its beauty and power as had happened at the last Paris Fashion Week with the SS17 collection created by Italian designer for Givenchy.
