Sneakers To Release This Weekend
From December 9 to 11, 2016
December 9th, 2016
The streetwear community was shaken this week due to the hysteria caused by Supreme’s release of the “Box Logo” hoodie: animal-like behaviour in New York and ridiculous resell prices across the board. Hopefully this weekend will be a little more toned down and relaxed, to help us recover from Thursday’s chaos!
Let’s have a look and see what we’re expecting this weekend!
#1 Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”
Last week saw the release of the Jordan 1 “Space Jam”, now we see the Jordan 11 arrive. The last time we saw this sneaker release was 2009, the landscape of sneakers has changed massively in those 7 years; which is in hand to Jordan brand as a market force. This iconic sneaker features a mix of patent leather and mesh on the upper, with the “Jumpman” logo embroidered on the side. Michael Jordan’s jersey number features on the heel, number 45, which adds a personal touch to the sneaker.
Release Information: This sneaker will release Saturday, December 10th for a price of £140. This sneaker will be available from retailers such as Offspring and Foot Asylum.
#2 Nike Flyknit Racer “Olive Green”
As one of Nike’s most versatile silhouettes to be released in recent years, it’s no surprise to know that this will be an instant sellout. The upper features a “Rough Green” colourway which is a mash of black and olive, sitting nicely upon that flyknit material that still prevails. This sneaker is such a clean design, it means there isn’t much left to say about it.
Release Information: This sneaker will release Friday, December 9th for a price of £130. This sneaker will be available from stockists such as Size? and Sneakers n Stuff.
#3 Nike LunarCharge In Three New Colorways
This sneaker originally saw a solo release back in November and it was a hit success, which would explain it being re-released in three new colourways: light bone, lilac and triple black. The Nike LunarCharge gets inspiration from 5 different Nike silhouettes, which might explain its current popularity. This sneaker boasts a combination of mesh and neoprene on the upper, with minimal branding throughout; which we love!
Release Information: This sneaker will release Friday, December 9th for a price of £100. This sneaker will be available from stockists such as Nike, so far!
#4 HAL x Adidas EQT Running Support 93 “Black”
Something about this sneaker reminds me of the Adidas x RafSimons Ozweego line; personal opinion. This is a sneaker that’s built to be durable and hard-wearing, which is in hand to the neoprene and waxed sailcloth throughout the upper. The purpose of this shoe is to focus on comfortable and innovative materials, which we’ve seen Adidas strive towards this year. The sneaker is predominantly black with hits of red on the sole and heel.
Release Information: This sneaker will release Saturday, December 10th for a price of £130. The sneaker will be available from sites such as DoverStreetMarket, FootPatrol and End Clothing.
#5 Saucony Courageous x Feature “Bacon and Eggs”
A collaboration between Saucony and sneaker boutique, Feature, that’s inspired by America’s breakfast of choice, bacon and eggs, what could go wrong? The sneaker will feature satin and suede uppers alongside nubuck panels in off-white and pink. There are also hits of yellow throughout to contrast the pink, which would be a nod to the egg, a key component of the breakfast dish! Saucony are renowned for using high-quality materials on their collaborations,so expect this to be no different!
Release Information: This sneaker will release Saturday, December 10th for a price of $120. You will be able to pick these up Feature in-store and online.
