Since the comeback of the iconic adidas Originals’ Stan Smith in 2014, the white sneaker has become a best seller worldwide, so much that designers like Phoebe Philo and Marc Jacobs have repeatedly worn for their post-show appearances.
As a result of the global success of this silhouette, numerous brands have reinterpreted it according to their style codes, transforming it into an eclectic and sophisticated accessory.
The latest in chronological order was Gucci, that, under Alessandro Michele’s supervision, has made it the protagonist of his new digital project: #24HourAce. Through the hashtag you can access a selection of short films that the Florentine fashion house has commissioned to a series of international film makers, who have placed the ACE sneaker at the centre of urban and sometimes surreal contexts.
