Dolce & Gabbana celebrated their 30th anniversary in Naples

The Neapolitan chapter written by Dolce & Gabbana’s designers for the 30th anniversary of their brand has come to an end. A four-day event, which involved the city of Naples from Spaccanapoli in Posillipo: an evening dedicated to jewelry at Villa Pignatelli, a street show on the streets of San Gregorio Armeno, a runway at Castel dell'Ovo and a final party by the beach, where cinematic glimpses of Sophia Loren were projected on the big screen.

Guests from all over the world  landed in Naples to admire the culture and the creations of the Italian brand, capturing with their smartphone the many colours of the city and posting them on social networks with the hashtag #DGLovesNaples. Everyone loves Naples, but most of all the locals who appreciated the homage to Sophia Loren’s films, the references to Catholicism, popular and culinary art.

The masculine elegance was commemorated with a runway by the sea, where sculptural models wore the new collection inspired by James Bond. Shoes, linings and details were the representation of contemporary tailoring. Same thing for the woman, whose collection was inspired by Loren, now an honorary citizen of Naples.

Baroque flashes, Spanish influences, garlanded hair, pencil skirts, sexy dresses reminiscent of Sophia in the role of a "poor-girl" and coats worn over sensual satin dresses. Humor, surreal exaggeration and a lot of irony where the ingredients of this unforgettable anniversary.
