Givenchy goes to Naples
For the Spring 2017 pre-collection look book
June 10th, 2016
For the look book of Givenchy's Spring 2017 pre-collection, Riccardo Tisci flew to Naples. It is among the streets of the city that photographers Max Von Gumppenberg & Patrick Bienert have shot the looks of the line, worn by supermodels Mariacarla Boscono, Bella Hadid, Greta Varlese and Matilde Rastelli, and models Alessio Pozzi and Mario Brugioni, styled by Tisci’s long-time collaborator Katy England.
Naples is particularly dear to nss, which began there its adventure as a street style website in 2008, and gradually expanded across the world.
The collection explores three complementary wardrobes: the "skinhead romantic" woman, inspired by the underground music scene of the ‘90s, the iconic Givenchy woman, playing with the eternal codes of the House, and the Urban one, who experiments with new silhouettes which pay homage to contemporary street style.
The items, often embellished with pearls, silver zips, macro prints, tulle and inlays, stand out thanks to the contrast with the decadent sets offered by the city of Naples, for a unique, authentic result.
