Gosha Rubchinskiy’s SS16 lookbook

After the launch of his photo book Youth Hotel, Gosha Rubchinckiy presents the lookbook of his SS16 collection. The images are shot by the designer himself and the protagonists are two brothers – Titouan and Louison – who, as many of his favourite models, come from the world of skateboard: “We chose these brothers for the lookbook for multiple reasons. They were part of our cast for the SS16 show and their family is from Corsica – I think their faces look very similar to classic art Italian statues”.

The collection they wear is actually inspired by a very different kind of art, the Soviet one of the first half of the 20^th century: bold colours, Russian typography and the 1984 logo – a homage to the novel by George Orwell?
