Instagram is working on a "teleportation" system

How many times you happened to look at a photo on Instagram and think: “What a nice place, I wonder where it is!”. Instagram knows you very well and is working on a new system able to make each of your posts usable at 360 degrees.

The idea is to associate to every picture an instrument which enables you to visit virtually – through images and sounds – the place in which the image has been shot, to give the user a more complete and satisfying experience: the one that the chiefs of the social network love to define as “teleportation”.

In order to realize the project, the team is working with Oculus, a system of virtual discovery property of the same technology officer of Instagram and Facebook. Even if the works will still take some time, get ready: your pictures on the social network will have no more secrets.
