Agyness Deyn is back on the runway

Between the merits of Hedi Slimane’s creative direction at Saint Laurent there’s certainly the one of having brought on the runway some of the most iconic faces of fashion but also of the independent music scene (see the Shears twins of The Garden or Zachary and Cavan from The Swim Deep).

Yesterday night in Paris on the brand’s runway there’s been a special comeback, in which every fashion insider has for sure hoped at least once in the latest months: the one of Agyness Deyn. The British model had walked her last runway in 2011 and seeing her yesterday wearing her grunge princess tiara and showing off her new long hair – we left her with a super short platinum blond cut – contributed of course to make the runway more magic.

There couldn’t have been a better brand to ratify her comeback: the model who, with her androgynous look, redefined the beauty standards of the 00s and challenged the concept of gender which is so discussed and actual nowadays. Yesterday, with her sleeveless leather jacket and her melancholic look, she walked the runway as if she had never stopped doing it.

But now the question is: was it just a special present reserved to her friend (and loyal admirer) Hedi Slimane, or will we see her walking a runway again soon?
