Jacquemus Anatomy
Mind, Eyes, Heart
October 2nd, 2015
Simon Porte Jacquemus is the golden boy of French fashion. He's the young creative mind fashion people are betting on.
His secret? A mixture of talent, surrealism, constructivism and je ne sais quoi.
After having declined the seaside furniture in a series of pop items, this season he breaks the rules of the classic men's suit.
He cuts, reassembles, exchanges, assembles, creating a framework of contemporary art, an asymmetrical fashion Frankenstein. The lengths are shorter, the jackets are worn backwards and become mini dresses, fabric strips become tops, colours and materials are mixed.

Heart/Art
"One upon a time there was a child who walked into a blood-red nose".
A dream.
Perhaps a nightmare.
The designer enters the scene with a horse, both in white, followed by a child, Simon's cousin, pushing a giant ball of red fabric. Then the models, bizarre creatures dressed with lines, circles, patchwork of fashion and feelings.
The show of Jacquemus, titled "Le Nez Rouge", the red nose of who has cried a lot, is the symbolic representation of the crisis that Porte has gone through in recent months, but is also and above all the proof that dream and style, art and business, together create magic.
