Tavi Gevinson is the new face of Clinique
The child prodigy of fashion poses for her first beauty campaign

Tavi Gevinson is the new face of Clinique #FaceForward Summer campaign.
The French brand founded in 1968 chose the child prodigy of fashion to embody the spirit of its new campaign and, we suppose, to refresh the image of the brand.
Tavi is the protagonist of a video in b&w in which she unveils her beauty routine, from make up to hair, and how this evolved during the years. While she talks, pop up comics explain graphically what she is talking about.
It’s ironic that the girl who launched the granny hair trend before it was cool when she was only 12 and conquered the world of fashion (including Anna Wintour) with her fresh and innovative look is today the face of an historic and famous brand like Clinique.
"Sometimes it's nice to just wear the stuff that makes you feel good, so then you can go about your day and put your energy into making other cool stuff" says Tavi in the video.
Tavi is only 19 but she already strikes for her wisdom. At this age most of the girls are starting their career while she can already count on 8 years in fashion, being the founder of a blog and an annual magazine (Rookie) and having celeb friends like Petra Collins (who is also her flatmate in NYC), Taylor Swift, Lorde and Lena Dunham.
The slogan of the campaign is è “Make a promise to the future and put it out there” and Tavi is absolutely the future.
