Roland Garros is back and Nike pays tribute to the tennis competition celebrating the unique history of NIKE AIR TRAINER 1, the first cross-training shoe ever made by the brand.
In celebration of the first summer slam of 2015, NikeLab collaborated with Hiroshi Fujiwara of fragment design to reimagine the classic silhouette. Available in two colorways that pay tribute to the brick red clay of Paris, the shoe is an off-court expression of NikeCourt’s lifestyle of tennis.
The NikeCourt Air Trainer 1 Mid x fragment will be available exclusively in Paris at NikeLab P75 on May 21. It will be available globally at NikeLab locations and nike.com/nikelab later this summer.
The clay court-inspired collection is the first of three NikeCourt Air Trainer 1 Mid x fragment collections to release this summer. It will be followed by collections that celebrate tennis' biggest moments in London and New York.
