OFF-WHITE Don't Look Down FW15 Mens Installation
Reportage by Stefano Carloni
January 23rd, 2015
Yesterday we went to the presentation of the new menswear FW 2015 collection of Off-White by Virgil Abloh,, in Rue Des Haudriettes 5 in Paris.
Renamed by the same Virgil "Don't Look Down" - simple advice, tribute to Kanye West or both, who knows -the collection is made up of garments characterized by a very neutral color palette.
The identity remains the same for the next season, with the brand name placed on the bottom of the jackets - but that of course doesn't mean the absence of a couple of upheavals: the number 13? It's now only a memory. The font of the word "WHITE"? It has been modified, as well as the graphic of the stripes which accompany it.
Off White opens the doors of its new collection at the college jacket as a novelty, introduced for the first time in the line - Virgil tells of having always wanted one of his own - or at parkas with removable patch on the back - to attach or detach depending on the occasions. Even handmade pants with made in Milan graphics are part of the list... and so on.
A collection to tell, to discover, following the most important life's stages of the designer and which marks a great step forward for one of the brands which, brick by brick, is giving its contribution in building the history of contemporary streetwear.
Big up!
