Emma Mulholland does not believe in the concept of minimalism, but instead believe in the power of color and eye-catching graphics. This Australian designer loves to mix simple shapes with bright colors and prints, with a strong and vibrant mood.
Her fashion is young, carefree, fresh and cheerful. A kaleidoscope of inspirations, shades and pop culture.
With the spring- summer 2014-15, entitled "Risque Business", a name that recalls the "Risky Business" that launched a young Tom Cruise, Emma takes us back in the 80s. The girl draws liberally from some cult movies of the period, such as the works of John Hughes. In her neon colored clothes and full of post-its prints, eyes, slogans there are the brat pack of young actors and rebellious protagonists of " The Breakfast Club ", there's Melanie Griffith in "Working Girl" and the Molly Ringwald of " Pretty in Pink".
Emma Mulholland creates playful collections, which have the advantage of restoring the mood of a period while maintaining portability and contemporary.
