The finalists of the LVMH Prize 2025 have been announced One of the most coveted young fashion designer awards in the world

The 2025 edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers is heating up with the announcement of the eight finalists who will compete for the prestigious award on September 3 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. After a selection process in which twenty young designers presented their collections before a panel of experts and the public, the names of those advancing to the final have been revealed. Among them is the Italian designer Francesco Murano, known for his sculptural and dramatic creations, and Soshiotsuki, who designs menswear with an innovative and subversive approach. Also making it to the final are Alainpaul and All-In, who challenge conventions with genderless collections that redefine the very concept of identity through clothing. From the United Kingdom, two promising names stand out: Steve O Smith, who embraces a minimalist aesthetic with clean and bold silhouettes, and Tolu Coker, whose work intertwines cultural storytelling and social activism. Completing the list of finalists are Torishéju, who plays with volumes and silhouettes to create a powerful vision, and Zomer, bringing a contemporary take on femininity from the heart of the Netherlands.

All eyes are now on the September final, where the finalists will showcase their creations before an exceptional jury to compete not only for the title but also for substantial financial and creative support. The winner of the LVMH Prize will receive a grant of 400,000 euros and a personalized mentorship program with LVMH teams, while the Karl Lagerfeld Prize and the Savoir-Faire Prize, dedicated to excellence in craftsmanship and technical innovation, will each award 200,000 euros and one year of tutoring within the group. Each year, the competition also supports three young graduates from top fashion schools, offering them 10,000 euros and hands-on experience in the design studios of the group's Maisons. Past winners include designers who have profoundly shaped contemporary fashion, such as Jacquemus, Marine Serre, Nensi Dojaka, and S.S. Daley. To find out who will win this year’s top jury prize, we will have to wait until September 3.
