Fashion, its designers, and aviation companies have shared a beautiful love story for centuries. A story that continues to be woven in 2025, as after Air France flight attendants were dressed by Marc Bohan for Dior in 1962 and even by Cristobal Balenciaga for his eponymous brand at the end of the decade, it is now Jacquemus making history with the French airline. But no made-in-Provence hostess outfit this time—Jacquemus has been tasked with ensuring a quality night’s sleep for first-class travelers by designing a pajama set that will send them to cloud nine. For the first time, the navy blue loungewear set offered to customers will be created by a high-caliber designer, starting this Thursday.

"We are proud to partner with Maison Jacquemus and its innovative creativity to design a new set exclusively available in the La Première suites,” said Fabien Pelous, Air France’s director of customer experience. "Every detail matters in creating a memorable travel experience, and this collaboration strengthens our commitment to enhancing every moment spent in this exceptional cabin." While the airline is accustomed to working with renowned designers, this is the first time it has offered in-flight loungewear of such quality to its customers. With “Le Pyjama,” a navy blue cotton set adorned with the winged seahorse (Air France’s emblem) and a ribbon embroidered with the Jacquemus logo on the back, Jacquemus elevates fashion—his fashion—to a higher level, turning an often-overlooked outfit into a luxury experience. Unveiled this Tuesday in Paris as part of the national airline’s new travel experience for its La Première class, “Le Pyjama” will be presented to each first-class traveler in red or blue cotton poplin pouches shaped like pillowcases, featuring small round and square buttons typical of Jacquemus designs.

After launching AF001 last January, a bespoke fragrance created by Francis Kurkdjian for the airline, used in select Air France lounges and La Première suites at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, Air France continues to surprise, further honoring French heritage and craftsmanship. Along with the Jacquemus-designed pajamas, first-class passengers will also enjoy bedding by Dumas Paris, an amenity kit featuring Sisley products, and exclusive cocktails prepared by mixologist Matthias Giroud. These new additions are not random but align with Air France’s goal of taking flight and luxury experiences to the next level. In addition to these upgrades, the airline recently redesigned La Première, featuring over three square meters of space, including a seat and a chaise lounge that converts into a full-flat bed, side suites with five windows and floor-to-ceiling curtains, and center suites with full-height sliding partitions. If we were wondering what surprises Jacquemus still has in store, we now have our answer.
