Golden Goose celebrates Paris Fashion Week with the “We Will Always Be Those Kids” performance
A night in between fashion, music, community, and culture
October 7th, 2024
Golden Goose returns for the second year at Paris Fashion Week with the event We Will Always Be Those Kids. Following the success of last year’s HAUS of Dreamers Paris, the brand chose the French capital to celebrate its values and community. The evening took place at the iconic Élysée Montmartre, a venue located between Pigalle and Montmartre. Opened as a ballroom in 1807, the venue is known as the birthplace of the Can-Can and has hosted legendary artists such as David Bowie and Daft Punk. Today, it remains a vibrant symbol of Parisian culture, hosting concerts and festivals in a timeless theatrical atmosphere. A captivating performance blending theater and fashion kicked off the event. The story follows a young dreamer facing the challenges of her growth journey, delivering a universal message: age doesn’t matter, you’ll always be “One of Those Kids” as long as you keep dreaming. The production skillfully blurred the line between reality and fantasy, embodying the brand’s identity and creative spirit.
During the performance, Golden Goose unveiled its Journey SS25 collection, worn by the actors who showcased the best looks, including the highly anticipated new sneaker Forty2. The Forty2 reinvents the 90s style for modern dreamers, maintaining Golden Goose’s craftsmanship with an aesthetic inspired by the Golden Age of American basketball. The sneaker features a double sole, with a deconstructed structure and comes in three colors. The micro-perforated leather upper, enriched with 3D textures on the star and heel tab, creates a unique tactile experience. The evening continued with an exclusive after-party featuring an international DJ lineup, including The Blaze, Boombass (Cassius), and Nathalie Duchene. Celebrities such as models Stella Maxwell and Joan Smalls, Lucky Blue Smith, Lauren Wasser, actors Cole Sprouse, Peyton List, Inanna Sarkis, and Disha Patani, as well as artists like Kid Cudi, Justine Skye, Girl in Red, and Kanika Kapoor, along with influencers and friends of the brand like Mary Leest, Kristy Scott, Xenia Adonts, and many others, attended the event. On this occasion, the brand presented a special limited edition of the Forty2 sneaker, featuring a distinctive lived-in effect and precious Swarovski crystal laces.
The Forty2 is also available in white with details in various color combinations ranging from pink, to black, to grey. All variants are now available on www.goldengoose.com and in selected stores worldwide.
