Among the stars of Stone Island's new campaign titled Community as a Form of Research, alongside Liam Gallagher and Peggy Gou, is also Philippe Starck, who has brought his visionary touch to the project. Perhaps one of the most creative minds featured in the campaign, Starck is portrayed by David Sims wearing the 710F2 PERFORMANCE TWILL WOOL-TC, a piece from the Ghost Piece line that perfectly embodies Starck's ethos of simplicity and functionality. The campaign showcases Starck against the iconic white background typical of Stone Island's campaigns, which highlights the monochromatic elegance of the collection, largely garment-dyed using a technique perfected by the brand's creator, Massimo Osti. Starck's involvement extends beyond the garments he wears; it is part of a broader intellectual narrative curated by cultural critic Hans Ulrich Obrist. A hallmark of the campaign is the 100 Questions series, available on YouTube, where Starck and other prominent figures answer provocative questions, offering a deeper insight into the philosophies and motivations that fuel their contributions to the Stone Island community. These interviews add an intellectual dimension to the campaign, making it not only a visual spectacle but also an exploration of identity, innovation, and cultural relevance.

The FW24 collection continues with Stone Island's Ghost Pieces, based on the concept of camouflage and entirely monochromatic. The collection focuses heavily on wool, using melton cloth for coats and jackets. A 95% wool and 5% cashmere blend ensures a soft, luxurious feel while maintaining a uniform appearance. The distinctive Ghost of Stone Island, designed to blend with the garments, enhances the minimalist aesthetic. Another key piece is the suede sheepskin jacket with a hood, treated with a PFC-free water-repellent agent, combining practicality and high fashion. This season, Stone Island pushes its innovation further with a down parka made from the finest Merino worsted wool. The parka is internally coated with resin to ensure wind resistance, padded with ethically sourced goose down, and garment-dyed for a contemporary look. The attention to detail, such as hidden zippers, snap buttons, and stitched visors, exemplifies the brand’s commitment to functional yet refined design, making this collection a testament to Stone Island's ability to blend tradition with modernity.
