Giorgio Armani will collaborate with KITH
The first collaboration in the history of the brand
August 29th, 2024
Yesterday, Ronnie Fieg, founder and creative director of KITH, announced the upcoming arrival of a collaboration with Giorgio Armani. This news is significant because, although other lines of the vast Armani empire have engaged in various collaborations in recent years, such as the recent one between Emporio Armani and Our Legacy, never in the brand's 50-year history has a collaboration involved the Giorgio Armani brand, the cornerstone and flagship of the Armani family of lines and brands, which today extends from clothing to design, including hotels and cuisine. «The team and I were invited to Milan to present an idea on what a collaborative project could look like», explained Ronnie Fieg on Twitter, «and we took it very seriously. Rather than a presentation or a deck, with the help of my team, I put a book together. I had the honor to take Mr. Armani through this book and share my vision with him on what Kith & Giorgio Armani could look like».
To say Mr. Armani is an icon would be an understatement. As a creative and entrepreneur, he is my North Star. His perspective on fashion changed the way the world chose to dress. He founded his own brand and built it into an empire that he still retains 100% control of 49 years… pic.twitter.com/YyfQ22JC9y

The project, still without a precise release date, is expected to involve tailoring, a category introduced into KITH's catalog four years ago and supported by a marketing strategy that has seen a series of iconic American and British actors (including Bryan Cranston, Adrien Brody, Seth Rogen, Jimmy Fallon, Brian Cox, and Wesley Snipes) appear as the faces of the brand's seasonal campaigns. While KITH is no stranger to collaborative projects with brands ranging from Asics and Converse to Swarovski, Tag Heuer, and Blackstock & Weber, this collaboration is something entirely new for Giorgio Armani, who, however, in recent years has experimented with this format through the Emporio Armani brand, which collaborated with Our Legacy last spring and with C.P. Company three years ago; and also through Armani Exchange, which in 2022 collaborated with Smiley.
