Birkenstock 1774 unveils the "Eternal Sunshine"

A true leap into the past

Birkenstock 1774 unveils the Eternal Sunshine A true leap into the past
The new Birkenstock 1774 collection, Eternal Sunshine, is divided into two drops that pay homage to Los Angeles and its eclectic energy that transcends eras. The first drop, arriving globally on June 20th, celebrates the archival Birkenstock models by reintroducing icons and archetypes in new fabrics and finishes, such as leather trims and the signature monochromatic buckles. The season's materials are crafted using special techniques that combine rustic with pop, modern with retro, evoking the nostalgic character of Southern California at the end of the 20th century.

The first release features the Arizona and Milano models in spray-painted raffia, a natural tribute to the Golden Age of 1960s surf culture. Echoing the plexiglass interior designs of the 1970s, the Arizona and Florida models in milky PVC intentionally blend with the wearer's complexion. A retro-futuristic summer is assumed.
