Golden Goose returns to Venice with HAUS Week
Talks, workshops, craft and skate sessions enliven the Marghera harbour
April 8th, 2024
In the heart of Marghera, Venice, the space created by Golden Goose returns to celebrate creativity and sharing. HAUS will kick off a series of immersive and special events taking place from April 19th to 21st. More than just a physical place, HAUS is a cultural platform from which countless artistic projects have sprung, representing a meeting point for the brand's Dreamer community. Located in the heart of the port of Venice, where Golden Goose was founded, HAUS honors the values that shape the brand's DNA. This space will host an Academy where expert craftsmen will teach future Dream Makers of the brand to cultivate their creativity, providing them with the tools and skills necessary to preserve and promote the art of craftsmanship. The lessons will cover a range of traditional crafts such as shoemaking and tailoring, along with modern cultural activities such as screen printing, DJing, and public speaking - all with the aim of preserving and promoting craftsmanship through various interests and aspirations.
This year, alongside HAUS, Golden Goose will open the doors to Manovia, a space created specifically for product innovation and repair. Additionally, there will be an Archive, a Library, and a Playground to welcome brand visitors and celebrate Golden's history and heritage. Finally, a Hangar will be available for artists to set up art and design exhibitions. «HAUS is a celebration of craftsmanship, culture, and art. More than just a physical space, it's a dream coming to life - the place where the brand was born and now a permanent home for our Dreamer community. From Marghera to other metropolises around the world, HAUS will host a series of immersive events, dedicated pop-ups, and experiential activations,» said Golden Goose CEO Silvio Campara regarding the project.
Following the performances on April 19th by the four Dreamers, on April 20th and 21st HAUS will open its doors to the public for the first time, inviting visitors to take part in a series of workshops designed to celebrate and advance creativity and freedom of expression. A team of artists, craftsmen, and members of the local community will color the HAUS Week calendar with events such as creative recycling by L.R.P. & SWAMPGOD, tailoring with Franco Puppato, co-creation stations, ceramics lessons with Power Notte, and glass engraving with Matteo Seguso. The program continues with skate sessions by Fotta, a concert by pianist Alberto Bof, performances by young poet Giorgio Maria Cornelio and the artistic collective Gandhara and a listening session curated by Thuono and Vega Kollective. The two days conclude with a series of talks in collaboration with nss on central themes such as sneakers, skate art, and culture in the company of Archived Dreams, Rune Glifberg, Victoria Genzini, Antonio Monfreda and Scarpe.
