"Born in Oasi Zegna," the book recounting the myth of the brand, is born

A legend is a tale that transcends time, inspiring and enchanting entire generations, transcending trends and seasons. And what if a legend is yet to be told? This is the idea behind the new book by Zegna, Born in Oasi Zegna, a work that aims to narrate the timeless beauty ideal of Oasi Zegna and how its values, which still animate the brand today, spread from it. More than just a book, Born in Oasi Zegna seeks to be a visual manifesto capturing the very essence of the brand and the values that inform its activities, from its foundation in 1910 to the present day. Through breathtaking images, unique illustrations, and historical fragments retrieved from the brand's vast archives, the book is a journey through time and space, a slice of life narrating the grand saga of Made in Italy and our country's fashion seen from the perspective and, above all, through the unique atmosphere of Oasi Zegna.
To present it, the brand has decided to make the launch of Born in Oasi Zegna an entire experience-coinciding with the planting of new trees in Milan's Piazza Duomo that come right from the Oasis and of which Zegna will be the janitor for the next three years and which will be unveiled April 19 during a press conference. From the morning in Piazza Duomo, while supplies last at the BORN IN OASI ZEGNA kiosk, a limited edition tote bag with a cutting plant will be given away. The occasion couldn't be more significant: Milan Design Week, during which the brand has planned a series of activities that will bring the values and aesthetics of Oasi Zegna directly into the heart of Milan, providing tangible evidence. Firstly, at the Zegna Headquarters in Via Savona, where the volume will also be launched, an exhibition inspired by Oasi Zegna will be set up from April 16 to 21, open from 10:00 to 19:00, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the history told in Born in Oasi Zegna through immersive spaces celebrating the brand's heritage. As a gift, a limited edition tote bag featuring exclusive illustrations from the book will be distributed. From April 15 onwards, at Rizzoli bookstore in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Zegna will offer a unique playful experience, with the chance to receive a special edition tote bag with any purchase. Then, on the same dates, in the charming Via dei Giardini di Montenapoleone, a stand dedicated to Born in Oasi Zegna will be set up, where the tote bag can be obtained, while nearby, the Zegna store windows in Via Montenapoleone will feature a special exhibition dedicated to "Born in Oasi Zegna," offering passersby a taste of the brand's aesthetics and philosophy.
We were saying that more than just a book, it's a manifesto because the volume doesn't just celebrate the brand's past and the history of the founding family, but it aims to look ahead and imagine the future, narrating the mission that the brand and the group it belongs to have made sustainability beyond any easy rhetoric: it was founder Ermenegildo who created the Oasi, in fact, making it part of his legacy as much as the factory that would later bring fortune to the brand and the family. The book was born not only to celebrate but also to spread the values of beauty, ethics, and social responsibility of the brand to create a model for the entire industry.
