March 19th, 2024
Accademia Costume & Moda recently showcased the BA Graduate Fashion Show ACM TALENTS 2024, a unique moment for twenty talents from the First Level Academic Diploma in Costume and Fashion: Fashion, Accessories & Costume Design, where they could present their creations in front of representatives of the Italian industry. The fashion show, held on March 16th at the Roman Aquarium, marked the end of the educational journey for the young creatives in one of the world's most renowned fashion institutes. Each student was able to showcase five looks from their capsule collection, created in collaboration with forty-three different Made in Italy companies. The show thus represented a moment of unity between the creatives of tomorrow and the experts of Italian tailoring and craftsmanship, an unforgettable synergy that contributed to bringing to life the visions of the twenty emerging designers.
The looks presented in the runway addressed themes such as sustainability, innovation, and community empowerment, topics that play a central role in the fashion industry, bringing a new face to the landscape of Italian fashion. With the support of over forty Italian textile businesses, ACM students were able to bring to the catwalk the material representation of their passions, their past, and what fuels their imagination. At the end of the event, the winners of the edition were also awarded: the Fashion Design course recognition was given to Alessio Mussati, creator of the "Quelli che vanno" capsule, and Mattia Pozzo of "Tancredi," while for the Accessories Design category, Sabrina Raus, designer of the "Melting Pot" accessories line, was awarded.
