An area of 1770 square metres divided into three floors, thirty-seven windows, a huge terrace, an 800-square-metre roof and a garden, swimming pool, kitchen and bar with a view over Milan. The penthouse between Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza San Babila and Corso Europa where Maurizio Gucci and Patrizia Reggiani once lived before moving to the famous house on Via Palermo has been sold a full 15 years after its launch on the market.
The buyer of the property is Indian magnate Rishal Shah, founder and owner of the multinational pharmaceutical company Jekson Vision. The actual price of the penthouse has not been made public yet, but it is said to be around €20 million, a record for the Italian real estate market. According to some industry insiders, condominium expenses could range from 50 to 100 thousand euros per year. La Stampa reported that Shah bought the house in 2022 and without the support of real estate agents, having discovered the property through personal acquaintances. This year, the renovations the entrepreneur is financing have sparked arguments among neighbours, who are complaining about the addition of a new balcony at the top of the building. It is rumoured that Milanese upper middle-class families and companies residing in the apartment building are ready to file a lawsuit over the matter.
