Basketcase, the brand born from the online vintage store of the same name, recently opened Hench, its new retail space in Costa Mesa born out of founder Zach Kinninger's desire to make the brand's online experience tangible and real. Open exclusively on weekends from noon to 6 p.m., the space replicates the online drop model that Basketcase has used since its inception, making different items available from time to time: from denim to knitwear, from graphic tees to outwear to footwear.

«The space is home to the Basketcase creative team during the week and it often feels that way» explained Zach Kinninger, «this is the space where future projects, artwork, and design come to life». Inside the store, visitors can expect to find exclusive items and a few glimpses of the creative process behind the brand's upcoming collections. After a series of successful pop-ups, Basketcase has thus decided to get even closer to its community, opening a space that can become a hub for lovers of the brand. «Prioritizing real life has always been a part of our identity as a brand because it represents our values,» Zach had told us in the past, describing his brand's latest step in advance.
