Alanui and Jacques Marie Mage have come together in an extraordinary collaboration to create a capsule collection of sunglasses that embodies the creativity, exceptional quality and attention to heritage that characterize both brands. This limited-edition collection, handcrafted in Japan using the finest materials, offers two sunglass designs adorned with metals, gemstones and Western motifs that celebrate the arts and traditional culture of the American Southwest. Alanui co-founders Carlotta and Nicolò Oddi say excitedly: «Working with the Jacques Marie Mage team and its founder Jerome has been incredible. We could not have found a better partner for our debut in the world of eyewear. We share the same love for exclusive products that flawlessly combine creativity and craftsmanship».
The first model, called Zuma, is a sculptural profile classic with JMM's iconic arrowhead details. This eyewear boasts turquoise inlays and custom silver, gold, and turquoise temples, recalling the geometries of Alanui's Icon pattern. Zuma's timeless silhouette comes in four fascinating color combinations: black and sienna, clay and bronze, beige and meadow green, and ivory and pink. Topanga models, on the other hand, features an iconic frame available in black or clay and features an intricate handcrafted decoration of Alanui's Icon pattern in five different colors. This decoration was created by Kewa Pueblo artist Francisco Bailon, founder of Anasazi Jeweler. Each pair of Alanui x JMM sunglasses comes with an exclusive turquoise box, which includes a tobacco-colored leather case, an engraved leather strap, and a lens cleaning cloth with the bandana pattern. This collaboration represents the union of two highly prestigious creative universes, coming together to create a luxury experience unparalleled in the world of sunglasses.
