Timberland celebrates 50 years with the founder of A-COLD-WALL*

Future73, the project created by Timberland to mark the brand's 50th anniversary, has involved six international creatives to reinterpret the boot that made Timberland an icon of its time. The second drop of this project sees the brand collaborate with Samuel Ross, the founder of A-COLD-WALL*, in a collection that combines functionality and style in perfect melody. Ross' art direction has flooded the Original Boot with modernity, starting with the silhouette, which is more essential and minimal, as well as the 3-EYe Lug Handsewn Boat Show, in black ballistic nylon, and other archival pieces. 

The collaboration with Timberland marks an important milestone for the designer of A-COLD-WALL*, as it represents a unique opportunity to celebrate his origins. Although born in the London borough of Brixton, Ross spent his childhood and much of his life in Northampton in the East Midlands, a town whose history has been heavily influenced by footwear culture. Timberland® x Samuel Ross Future73 is a way for him to return to his roots, to remember the passion for craftsmanship that raised him. While the boots and boat shoes were elevated in quality, with the archival garments Ross preferred to let his imagination guide him. A hunting parka, cargo shorts, an iron-colored sleeveless jacket, sweatshirts, and jumpers were hand-decorated with unique hues. 

The Timberland® x Samuel Ross Future73 collection will be available in two releases, in May and August 2023. The first will be available from 12 May at A-COLD-WALL* and from 16 May on timberland.co, in Timberland® shops and at selected retailers worldwide.
