Rhuigi Villaseñor has left Bally The reason for the decision remains a mystery

Like a bolt out of the blue, Bally announced that Rhuigi Villaseñor is no longer serving as the brand's creative director. The brand confirmed that the decision was mutual and the two parties parted amicably-which would also explain the American designer's short tenure. The news is surprising given that the first collection Villaseñor created for the Swiss brand, the SS23 presented last year, is supposed to have only recently arrived in stores, so it would be difficult to speak of a disappointing performance considering also how the brand's sales were up 20 percent over the past year, as stated by the brand itself in a statement.

According to what the brand said, however, while waiting for a new creative director to be announced, all previously planned and announced activities - namely the upcoming show at Milan Fashion Week in September, the Bally Foundation exhibition in Switzerland, and the collaboration with Adrien Brody-will continue without interruption, and it will be the brand's own studio that will be responsible for the design of the new collections.
