Aesthetics and functionality in WOOD WOOD's Pre-Fall 2023 collection
Available May 18
May 16th, 2023
Based on the work of artist and architect Isamu Noguchi, the new WOOD WOOD collection aims to combine aesthetics, functionality, and the human capacity to play. Just as Noguchi did in the playgrounds created between the early 1930s to the mid-1970s, the Danish brand's design team works to create a wardrobe that can adapt from daywear to nightwear apparel. The women's collection offers tailored silhouettes with relaxed designs, while the men's counterpart offers a different take on menswear classics, from denim to loose-fitting knitted garments.
Ellen Nielsen's eye documented the models in their everyday lives, chronicling the transition from day to evening. To do so, Nielsen chose to go beyond campaign codes, following the story in real-time in a series of locations that reflect those we inhabit every day. WOOD WOOD's Pre-Fall 2023 collection will be available from May 18.
