Four Climes, the SS23 Baracuta collection by Daiki Suzuki

A journey from the UK through the United States and Japan

Crossing three different countries, Baracuta's SS23 line created by Daiki Suzuki reflects the history of the brand and the designer, from Baracuta's foundation in 1937 in Manchester to Suzuki's Japanese roots, to New York, where the brand opened one of its offices in the 1950s under the name Four Climes. These are the starting points of the new collection; three geographical coordinates far removed from each other harmoniously coming together through Suzuki's designs.

Baracuta's British origins are conveyed through the Derby Jacket, a distant relative of the G9 Harrington Jacket, which in this version also features pockets on the back, the versatile Brighton trousers, and the sage-colored deconstructed Parka, while the American influence is displayed in the collection through the oversized fit of the jackets and denim, a first for the brand. Each piece in the collection heavily focuses on the choice of materials, from the Baracuta cloth, a signature fabric of the brand, and Solaro, which gives an iridescent look to the garments due to its composition of natural and man-made fibers.

To celebrate the launch of Four Climes, Baracuta has chosen Nico, Kai, and Kio de Torres, the three brother members of Tokyo band Gliiico, who together achieved success in Japan with the single "Around." In the campaign, the band wears the seven garments designed by Daiki Suzuki on the streets of Japan, portrayed under retro lights by Sabukaru's creative team.
