A collabo between Nike and Bode is on the way
With a re-release of the Nike Astro Grabber
March 31st, 2023
Now among the hottest names among industry insiders and beyond, it seems that the time has also come for Bode to get into the collaboration game. According to Complex, the brand founded by Emily Adams Bode will collaborate with Nike on an apparel and footwear collection that will reprise the best of both brands. Despite the absence of details, the focus of the collaboration will be a re-release of the Nike Astro Grabber, a sneaker originally released in 1970 that will be re-released in the two new colorways.
The collaboration represents an important step for Bode, which after its return to the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week seems increasingly intent on broadening its field of influence to break out of its status as a niche New York brand. On the heels of the successes scored by Aimé Leon Dore and JJJound in their respective collaborations with New Balance, Emily Bode's brand could insert itself into the sneaker market by going on to gain a new slice of buyers while consolidating those already attached to the brand.
The release date of the collaboration, at the moment still shrouded in rumor uncertainty, could be between late 2023 and early the following year. As they say in such cases, we just have to wait.
