March 10th, 2023
Prada Group's annual report, publicly displayed on Thursday, revealed the excellent results that the Prada and Miu Miu brands brought to the company. The year 2022 ended with a 58% higher net profit than the previous year, at €465 million, while revenues increased by 25% (a total of €4.2 billion). «The recent changes to our governance structure mark a fundamental evolution for the group,» explained chairman Patrizio Bertelli, «we intend to remain on a path of steady and sustainable growth as we work to exploit the full potential of our brands.»
Among the most significant changes reported by Bertelli is the arrival of Andrea Guerra at the top of the Group, a choice made by Bertelli and Miuccia Prada in anticipation of their son, Lorenzo Bertelli, taking over the reins of the company's management over the next few years. For Guerra, joining the company at an «exciting time of evolution,» has motivated him with «great energy,» planning to invest «further in the attractiveness of our brands, the renewal of our retail network, and our production capabilities.» Prada and Bertelli recently left their titles of co-CEOs, while remaining involved in the Group's decisions as executive directors. Along with these positive and promising results, the Prada Group also mentioned that last quarter they were the only luxury company to own two brands in Lyst's ranking of the five most influential brands, with Prada in first place and Miu Miu in fourth.
