Soulland's new collection explores the concept of the mind as a house
To complete the brand's Brain House Inhabitants trilogy
February 10th, 2023
This Copenhagen Fashion Week, Scandinavian brand Soulland presented its new SS23 collection, Moon Wizard, off the calendar. Despite the fact that theirs is one of the most eagerly awaited shows of Danish Fashion Week, designer Silas Adler preferred to dedicate more time to the concept, replacing the highly anticipated Danish Fashion Week show with an intimate dinner.
«Sometimes I think it's good to take a step back and reflect, to make sure I have both feet on the ground,» Adler explained to Vogue, «I don’t want to be in a situation where I can’t handle challenges because I am driving myself or my team too far.» The new line marries Scandinavian sartorial rigour with Italian haute couture, having been produced entirely in local factories. Fabrics, such as that used for the après-ski style bodysuit, are entirely recycled, and feature a variety of styles that preserve Soulland's gender-free approach. The new line reveals the designer's focus on suits and the fusion of different fabrics, such as Italian leather and Organza wool, or velvet and silk. Part of the Brain House Inhabitants trilogy - which explores the concept of the mind as a house built on several floors and inhabited by infinite creatures and feelings - the SS23 collection is now available in all Soulland stores.
