Hermès seeks staff for its laboratory in Busto Garolfo

If you are looking for a job, you will be interested to know that Hermès, the historic luxury maison French, is hiring. The high fashion giant is looking for staff from its "luxury factory" in Busto Garolfo, north of Milan, where technical and sartorial expertise give life to excellent products. Italy is reconfirmed as the privileged location when it comes to luxury, in the wake of a very long tradition of Made in Italy that has made the Bel Paese synonymous with quality in the world. The opening of the new Hermès factory a stone's throw from Milan echoes the recent news of big brands that are practically colonizing manufacturing areas especially in Tuscany, opening futuristic factories practically everywhere during the last year, from Fendi and Louis Vuitton.

It is precisely for this reason that the brand has decided to open its own factory just a stone's throw from the capital in 2018, after relocating its workshop in the shadow of the Madonnina. As the website Milanotoday reports, there are 16 positions to be filled. They range from quality control staff to professionals specialized in finishing or leatherworking, true artisans who can create prototypes. Atelier Hermès chaussures Italie (which is the name of the company based in Busto) «specializes in the development and realization of Hermès shoe prototypes, in the production of specific shoe models and in coordination with external manufacturers for the industrialization and quality control of the final product and materials» according to the brand's website.
