The chromatic energy of the Haider Ackermann + Fila collection
An aesthetic fusion of rave, sportswear and tailoring
November 18th, 2022
In a large industrial warehouse in Manchester, where a rave culture of music and non-music gatherings is well established, the Haider Ackermann + Fila collection collaboration was staged. Relying on a diversified and multifaceted sports heritage ranging from swimming to running to tennis and working on the idea of performance in the sense of improvement, the Haider Ackermann+Fila collection is a meeting of identities based on multiplicity and the idea of the clash as an accelerator.
Tops, anoraks, tracksuits, leggings, swimwear, and bodysuits - all elements of the sportswear world - mix with bomber jackets and tailoring. A physical and chromatic tension, amplified by the electric glow of intense hues and lightweight materials that reshape the silhouette. The color spectrum is managed gradually: movement begins in white, accelerates in pink, light blue, radiant green, and acid yellow, and then gains pace in graphic black and white. Logos and slogans run on the legs and sleeves, gaining additional traction, while technical slippers and running shoes add extra speed. Heels, on the other hand, elevate. The body, revealed or barely felt, is the real star of this collection.
