5 things to do in Milan this weekend
From 18 to 20 November
November 18th, 2022
Between events, new openings, and trips out of town, your weekend away from the office and university can only be unforgettable. Yet sometimes too much choice can also prove to be a problem. To help you disentangle yourself from the abundance of Milanese proposals, nss is ready to guide you through a weekend of discovery.
To Eat - Il Marchese
After the success of the Roman restaurant and cocktail bar inspired in design and decor by the film 'Il Marchese del Grillo', the format arrives in Milan, a few steps away from the Teatro Alla Scala. The gastronomic proposal of chef Daniele Roppo is flanked by the aperitif hour of music, performance, and mixology by bar manager Fabrizio Valeriani.
Via dei Bossi, 3
To Discover - Bosch
Palazzo Reale pays tribute to the great Flemish genius and his fortune in southern Europe with an unprecedented exhibition project that presents a fascinating thesis: Bosch, according to the curators, represents the emblem of an 'alternative' Renaissance, far from the myth of classicism, the proof of the existence of a plurality of Renaissance, with artistic centers spread throughout Europe. This rich corpus includes some of Bosch's most famous masterpieces and works derived from the Master's subjects - never before presented together in a single exhibition.
P.za del Duomo, 12
To Chill - Recycling Beauty
Recycling Beauty, the Fondazione Prada exhibition curated by Salvatore Settis, reflects on the role of classical works of art in the process of reusing ancient aesthetics. The exhibition project is conceived by Rem Koolhaas/OMA and is an unprecedented survey entirely dedicated to the theme of the reuse of Greek and Roman antiquities in subsequent contexts, from the Middle Ages to the Baroque.
Largo Isarco, 2
To Shop - Animal-House
From Woolrich to Barbour, Sebago, and New Balance, a concept store dedicated to menswear named after John Landis' film masterpiece, drawing from the world of sport and bikers through a selection of the most iconic brands in casual fashion.
