Talent scouting codirected by Hypebeast and Calvin Klein
August 10th, 2022
A series of images and videos to tell the story of the creative process entrusted to four artists tasked with paying homage to the iconic CK monogram. The project was co-directed by Calvin Klein and Hybebeast, united in scouting artists with different backgrounds and points of view. Their installations were filmed by acclaimed filmmaker Nakaash inside a minimalist warehouse, where the artists' four distinct worlds found a point of contact.
For more than 30 years, Calvin Klein's Monogram T-shirt collection has been a staple for a minimalist and sophisticated look. The four artists have reinterpreted the iconic logo into works of art that convey their style, vision, individuality, and identity to reach new audiences. From spray paint to airbrushing to projecting graphics, the four artists - British painter Alfie Kungu, graphic designer Maite Marque, artist Rafaella Braga and Rediet Longo - have helped rewrite the history of Calvin Klein.
