C.P. Company and Clarks Originals together for a new capsule

For SS22 season, Clarks Originals and C.P. Company, the Italian sportswear brand founded by Massimo Osti that has perfectly combined tradition, innovation and performance since 1971, join forces to celebrate the point where nature meets the city in a marriage of natural materials, heritage craftsmanship and new technologies suited to the demands of 21st century outdoor performance. Consisting of two jackets and two footwear styles, the collection is inspired by both the design language of Clarks' cult Desert Trek and C.P. Company's historic ability to produce quality fabrics.
The outerwear, an anorak and a long jacket, made from a combination of polyurethane coated linen and rubber inserts, is an exploration of the union of city and country, man-made and natural, protection and breathability. The iconic Desert Trek by Clarks is reinterpreted in two styles: the original, enriched with rubber details, and the revisited, featuring a Vibram sole. The Desert Trek evokes and refers to the rich, fertile and varied landscape of the British coast, where the sand is a play on the desert itself: the ultimate escape for city dwellers, with the vitality of the sea and fresh air in a taste of freedom from routine. Shot by British photographer Will Grundy, the campaign captures and narrates the contemporary nomad who moves through this unique and constantly evolving landscape, which both recalls and contrasts the tones of the collection.
