The sustainability of Made in Italy in the REWORKED COLLECTION 01 by Salvatore Santoro
Created to celebrate the concept of union
February 22nd, 2022
In the increasingly sustainable and conscious fashion, Salvatore Santoro has decided to combine the useful with the pleasant by creating a unisex collection in which the concept of sustainability is combined with research and processing of leather that characterizes the brand since 1987. Recycling leftover leather, Salvatore Santoro has created a series of patchwork garments that reflect the historical moment in which we are pushed to give a value to everything that surrounds us, from affections to the clothes in our closet.
A patchwork collection of inclusion, putting aside differences to celebrate the act of coming together and being united in a moment in history that never before could push towards disintegration. Precisely for this reason, the company's response was to share, not to throw away and waste, but to give continuity to materials that already exist in a collection whose end result is an elegant game of joints.
Jackets, pants and other items with modern lines transform the collection into an interesting encounter between sustainable research and the heritage of a brand that since 1987 has been pursuing a concept of craftsmanship and attention to detail in which each item is unique and the result of careful and lasting work.
