The new FW21 capsule by Jack Wolfskin x GmbH
Archival gorpcore meets Berlin's multicultural collective
November 15th, 2021
GmbH, the brand-collective founded by Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Isik in Berlin, has become one of the new stars of Paris Fashion Week in a matter of few seasons. Thanks to a laser-focused vision that starts from the clubbing and queer scene of the German capital to create a design language that is international enough to arouse the desires of Parisian buyers but local enough to seem the purest expression of Neukölln's young multicultral creatives. Today the brand has ventured into its first collaboration with Jack Wolfskin, a cult German brand founded in Idstein in 1981 and part of the lexicon of German everyday clothing. The result is a collaboration that interprets on several levels the idea of heritage at the base of both brands: the historical one of the outdoor brand on the one hand and the multicultural and varied one of the Berlin collective.
The Jack Wolfskin x GmbH collection consists of a parka, a bomber jacket, a knitted sweater and t-shirts decorated with a wolf design (a reinterpretation of Jack Wolfskin's logo), a sherpa jacket proposed in the colorway, embroidered shirts and trousers with detachable elements, a functional t-shirt, a backpack, scarves and a curtain. Quilted prints and embroidery elevate the collection's classic gorpcores, bringing together The urban sensibility of GmbH with the high-performance technology of Jack Wolfskin. The entire range is completely sustainable – a feature that underlines the vocation that, beyond the differences in inspiration, unites both brands.
