Louis Vuitton's life becomes a videogame
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of its birth
July 29th, 2021
To celebrate the two hundred years since the birth of its founder, Louis Vuitton has decided to go big by announcing the release of a video game, a novel and a documentary on Apple TV as well as social activations and many other initiatives. Renamed Louis 200, the initiative will start on August 4 with the release of the Louis: The Game moble videogame, while in some selected stores it will be possible to admire the famous LV trunks reimagined by 200 artists from different backgrounds and disciplines, by illustrator Jean -Philippe Delhomme to architect Peter Marino.
Caroline Brognard is the author of the novel Louis Vuitton, L'Audacieux, expected in French in October and in English in November, while the following month the documentary Looking for Louis will arrive on Apple TV's Explore channel, focusing on the first steps in the Vuitton's fashion world. Other initiatives planned will also include a triptych created by the artist Alex Katz and a “cuvée spéciale” by the Champagne brand, owned by LVMH, Veuve Clicquot.
Arrived in Paris to become an apprentice of the renowned manufacturer and packer of trunks Romain Maréchal, the history of Louis Vuitton still represents a virtuous example for anyone who wants to approach the world of fashion: from the need to take risks to the ability to create an empire capable of growing from generation to generation.
