Fred Perry's latest collaboration with Gorillaz
A capsule that combines the Brit aesthetics of the brand to that of the band
May 21st, 2021
Last April, members of the British virtual band Gorillaz became the models for the lookbook of a release of Fred Perry's famous polo shirt. Today, the band and the iconic British brand are back to collaborate with a complete capsule collection available exclusively online or visiting the shop in the band's virtual HQ. Once logged in, the user will start a virtual path that will engage him in a real treasure hunt.
The protagonists of the range are the Polo Shirts that bear the signature of the band members and are customized with bold graphics and embroidery on the chest including the printing of the crane, one of the recurring motifs in the Gorillaz imagination. A sporty suit consisting of a Track Jacket and Track Pants feature embroidered and geometric patterns, as well as OWL and Choose Pazazu patches. The collection also features three reimaginings of the Harrington Jacket, all made in Wolverhampton, England. The Contrast Rib Harrington Jacket in water-repellent cotton is decorated with a zigzag lining, while the Palm Print Harrington features the all-over Gorilla Palm print. The last Harrington is composed of corduroy with the same print on the inner lining, also present internally in the Patch Detail Bomber Jacket. Socks and a bag also complete the collection.
